a real, independent workshop — not a franchise template

Servicing and mechanical repairs, done properly.

Speed Service is a local workshop at 99 Cross Keys Rd, Salisbury, and most of what we do is the everyday work that keeps a car healthy — major and logbook servicing, brakes, diagnostics and general mechanical repairs for families and tradies right across Adelaide's north.

We focus on mechanical work, not tyres: we no longer sell or fit new tyres, or do wheel alignment and balancing. On the tyre side we can still repair a puncture where it's safe and check your tyres' condition as part of a service — and we'll point you to a good specialist for anything else.

Whatever you bring in, the deal is the same: we inspect it, give you a clear quote, and only do the work you've approved.

how every job runs here

Inspect, quote, then — and only then — fix

Right across servicing and repairs the order never changes. We look the car over first, tell you in plain English what it needs, and put a clear quote in front of you. Nothing past the agreed job goes ahead until you've said yes — and if we find something extra mid-service, we ring you before we touch it.

  1. 1

    Drop off & describe

Bring it in and tell us what you've noticed — a noise, a light, a service that's due or a puncture that needs sorting.

  2. 2

    Inspect & report

We check the car over and note what's worn, what's urgent and what can safely wait, with a clear quote before anything goes ahead.

  3. 3

    Clear quote, your call

You get an upfront quote and decide what goes ahead. Find something extra mid-job? We ring you first, every time.

  4. 4

    Fix, test & hand back

We complete the approved work, test it, and talk you through what we did before you drive away.

what your quote depends on

Why we quote rather than post a price list

Two cars in for the 'same' job can land at honestly different prices, so a one-size price list would only mislead you. Tell us your car and what's going on, and we'll give you a straight quote before any work starts.

  • Your make, model and kilometres
  • The parts and fluids your car actually needs
  • How much wear we find once it's inspected
  • Genuine or quality-equivalent parts — your preference
  • Whether any extra repairs are added after the check

FAQs

Questions, answered

Quick answers to what Salisbury drivers ask us most. Can't see yours? Just give us a call.

Always. We inspect your car, give you a clear quote, and only carry out repairs once you've approved them. If we find anything extra during a service, we'll call you before going ahead.

A major service is a thorough scheduled service that typically covers engine oil and filters, a check and top-up of key fluids, a brake inspection and a detailed multi-point check of the vehicle. The exact items depend on your car and its service schedule — call us and we'll let you know what's involved for yours.

Under Australian Consumer Law, having your car serviced by a qualified independent workshop to the manufacturer's schedule, using suitable quality parts, should not on its own void your new-car warranty. We service to the logbook schedule and record the work in your logbook.

For servicing, diagnostics and repairs we recommend calling ahead on 0481 309 775 so we can fit you in. For a quick question or to drop the car off, you're welcome to come by — just give us a ring first if you can.

A warning light means the car has detected a fault, which can range from minor to serious. If a light comes on, it's best to have the car scanned soon. If a light is flashing or the car is running poorly or overheating, stop driving and call us. We can read the fault and explain what's going on.

We service and repair passenger cars, family cars, SUVs, utes, 4WDs and vans across all makes and models. Let us know your make, model and kilometres and we'll help.

We no longer sell or fit new tyres, or do wheel alignment and balancing. We can still repair punctures where it's safe to do so, and we always check your tyres' condition and tread as part of a service. If you need new tyres or an alignment, we're happy to point you to a good local specialist.

Yes — puncture repair is one tyre job we still do. We take the wheel off, find the cause, and repair it properly where it's safe. A puncture in the main tread area is usually repairable; damage to the sidewall or shoulder generally isn't, and we'll tell you straight if a safe repair isn't possible.

It's usually a quick job. Give us a call on 0481 309 775 first so we can fit you in, and you're welcome to drop by — if you're already booked in for a service we can sort it at the same time.
